Tata Tiago EV Features & Technology Advancement

Compared to the Tata Tiago petrol version, the Tiago EV has various design features that are unique to electric vehicles. The front grille has been updated to match the Tigor EV; Most of the grille is now gone, with the tri-arrow patterning on the area adjacent to the headlamps. Additionally, an EV badge has been added to the grille, and a blue tint has been applied to the trim highlights below the grille. Similar to the rear bumper, the front bumper’s center air vent features a triangular motif that is shared with the Tigor EV.

In terms of inside, only the use of blue highlights and leatherette upholstery on the highest variant makes the EV different from the regular Tiago. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is included as standard equipment with the Tiago EV along with automatic climate control. Z-Connect connected car technology, which has 45 connected capabilities and is not available in the internal combustion Tiago, is also included in the basic kit. Other features include auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, a cooled glovebox, tire pressure monitoring, and a Harman audio system (a first on the Tiago).

There are two different battery packs available for the Tiago EV from Tata Motors. A 19.2 kWh battery pack or a larger 24 kWh battery pack is available to the customers. The small pack has a range of up to 315 km, while the large pack has a range of up to 250 km per charge (MIDC). The battery pack also affects the electric motor output. The bigger pack comes with a more powerful 55 kW motor that makes 114 Nm, while the smaller unit is mated to a 45 kW motor that produces 105 Nm of peak torque.
